Craft Hats

Does anyone know any good Craft Ideas involving old hats?
I was cleaning out the basement and found some neat old hats that my great aunt used to wear. They’re in good shape, but are too delicate and unusable due to old age. Some of the hats have plastic mesh that could fall apart if mishandled. I’d like to display them as decoration, but haven’t been able to come up with any good craft ideas. Does anyone have any input or could give me some good websites to look at to get ideas?
Turn some upside down and make a nest in them. Use the craft birds and peat moss. The sturdier ones can be used to hold a picture frame of your aunt wearing
the hat. Just add a small wire to put on a hook or nail in the wall. Add some lace
handkerchiefs in the inside of the hat by the crown before adding the frame. Then tuck a small silk flower on the inside.
